Burnout

Burnout na yata ako. Ewan. Tila kasi nawawalan na talaga ako ng interes sa mga ginagawa ko ngayon — thesis, UP ACM, at ang mismong pag-aaral. Sana pwede ring mag-”leave with pay” ang mga mag-aaral na tulad ko. “With pay” — walang mawawala sa akin sa aking pagbabakasyon, pero imposible yata iyon. Gustuhin ko mang magpahinga nang mahaba, hindi maaari.

Noong una, tila ang mga nabanggit kong bagay sa itaas ang ilan sa mga gustung-gusto kong gawin, pero bakit tila hindi na ako maligayang gawin ang mga iyon? Bakit tila nararamdaman kong gusto ko nang bitawan ang mga iyon upang gumawa ng bago.

Paano ba ibsan ang epekto ng burnout, kung hindi naman maaaring magpahinga?

CRS First Preenlistment Run

It’s CRS season once again! The first preenlistment run starts today at 1:00 PM.

By the way, a new ranking system will be implemented starting this preenlistment run. You now have to rank your desired subjects (from 1-20, with 1 being highest priority) so the system could determine which class you prefer more. This attempts to resolve conflicts in the schedules of subjects to wish to preenlist in.

More information is available on the Mechanics for the Preenlistment with Ranking white paper published on the CRS Web site.

UP Diliman Academic Calendar for 2008-2009 Now Online

The 2008-2009 Academic Calendar of UP Diliman has been published. It notes important dates students and faculty should be aware of.

Let me take note some important dates for the first semester:

General Registration: June 2 (freshmen), June 3-6 (other students)
Start of Classes: June 10
Mid-semester: August 7
Final Examination Week: October 13-21 (non-graduating)
End of Classes: October 8
Deadline of filing for UPCAT: June 18 (Metro Manila schools), June 25 (Non-Metro Manila schools)*
UPCAT 2009: August 2 and 3

* from the UPCAT Web site. This conflicts with the date in the academic calendar, but I think the UPCAT Web site is more authoritative in this case, so I’m assuming this is the correct date.
